Cut the chicken breast into cubes and finely chop the yellow onions.
Heat the vegetable oil in a pot and soften the yellow onions for 7 minutes.
Add the garlic, ginger, and spices and fry for 1 minute.
Add the chicken breast and turn for 6 minutes, until the outside changes color.
Add the tomato puree and salt, then cook the sauce for 16 minutes.
Warm the yogurt with hot sauce from the pot, add it back in, and bind over low heat for 4 minutes.
Serve chicken balti with basmati rice pilaf.
