Place the 4 potatoes between two wooden spoons and slice them at 3 mm intervals without cutting through the base.
Melt the 30 g butter and mix it with the salt and black pepper.
Brush the butter between the slices so the edges crisp while the inside does not dry out.
Bake the potatoes at 200°C for 50 minutes, brushing them again with butter halfway through.
Let them rest for 5 minutes and serve hot so the inner steam settles.
Open the cuts slightly before serving, otherwise the butter will stay only on top.
💡 Tip: Do not cut all the way through; the potatoes keep their shape.
