Rub the lamb ribs with salt and spices, then place them in the pot.
Cook the ribs covered for 90 minutes, until the meat is tender enough to pull from the bone.
Soak the rice in warm water for 20 minutes, then drain.
Toast the almonds and currants in oil for 3 minutes.
Add the rice and toast for 4 minutes.
Add the meat broth and cook the pilaf for 25 minutes.
Place the ribs on top of the pilaf and rest for 10 minutes.
