Pat the chicken pieces dry and rub them all over with salt and black pepper.
Heat the sunflower oil in a wide pan and fry the chicken skin-side down for 8 minutes.
Turn the chicken and fry the other side for 6 minutes.
Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, then add butter and crushed garlic to the fat left in the pan.
Stir the garlic for 45 seconds until fragrant, then add the milk and water.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake at 200°C for 20 minutes.
Rest the chicken for 5 minutes and serve with the garlic sauce.
