Knead the glutinous rice flour and water together, then shape into marble sized balls.
Dice the sweet potato, and cut the bananas and jackfruit into bite sized pieces.
Boil the sago pearls separately for 10 minutes, until partly translucent, then drain.
Warm the coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a pot.
Add the sweet potato and cook for 8 minutes.
Add the rice balls to the pot and cook for 10 minutes, until they float.
Add the bananas, jackfruit, and sago pearls, then cook for 4 more minutes.
💡 Tip: Do not make the rice balls too large; the outside softens before the center cooks and they stay doughy in the soup.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve ginataang bilo bilo warm in bowls as a dessert soup, with a little toasted coconut sprinkled on top.
