Soak the beans in water overnight and drain.
Boil the beans in fresh water for 35 minutes.
Turn the onions in olive oil for 5 minutes and add the grated tomato.
Mix the beans with the tomato sauce in a baking dish.
Add a little hot water to the bottom of the dish and keep the sauce moist so the beans do not dry out in the oven.
Bake in a 190°C oven for 35 minutes.
💡 Tip: Do not let the beans fall apart while boiling; they need to keep their shape as they absorb the sauce in the oven.
