Slice the onions into thin half moons.
Mix the chickpea flour, rice flour, cumin, coriander seeds, turmeric, hot chili powder, baking powder, and salt.
Add the onions to the flour mixture and add water little by little to make a sticky batter.
Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
Take small portions of batter and fry for 4 to 5 minutes, until golden.
Transfer the bhajis to paper towels and drain for 2 minutes.
