Wash the basmati rice and soak it in warm water for 15 minutes.
Soften the onion for 5 minutes in the olive oil and half the butter.
Add the ground beef and cook for 10 minutes, until its juices evaporate.
Add the carrot, peas, allspice, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, and black pepper to the pot.
Add the drained rice and chicken stock, cover, and cook for 18 minutes.
Fry the almonds and pine nuts in the remaining butter for 3 minutes.
Rest the pilaf for 10 minutes and serve with the nuts and yogurt.
