Rinse the bulgur, drain the chickpeas, and tear the beef pastirma into thick strips.
For the chickpea bulgur pilaf, saute the onion in butter for 5 minutes.
Add the bulgur and toast it for 4 minutes, then add the chickpeas and hot water.
