Boil the egg noodles for 1 minute less than the package time, then drain.
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and prepare the cabbage, carrot, onion, garlic, and cucumbers.
Cook the eggs in half the vegetable oil for 1 minute while stirring, then transfer to a plate.
Cook the chicken in the same pan for 6 minutes until browned.
Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and cabbage and toss over high heat for 5 minutes.
Mix the soy sauce, molasses, and black pepper, then add them to the pan with the noodles and eggs.
Toss the bakmi goreng for 3 minutes until it absorbs the sauce, then serve with cucumbers.
💡 Tip: Do not cook the noodles until fully soft; they need to stay slightly firm because they will turn in the pan with the sauce for another 2 minutes.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve bakmi goreng as a one-plate noodle meal with cucumber, lemon wedges, and optional hot sauce.
