Remove the pits from the pickled taflan and soak in water for 15 minutes.
Drain and taste the taflan; if too salty, keep it in water for 5 more minutes.
Slice the onions into half moons.
Heat the butter and oil in a pan and saute the onion for 7 minutes.
Add the taflan and black pepper, then fry for 8 minutes while stirring with a spatula so the fruit does not crush.
