Cook the palm sugar with 1 cup of coconut in a pan for 5 minutes, until it becomes a sticky filling.
Knead the glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, and pandan flavoring.
Take small pieces of dough, add palm sugar filling, and close into balls.
Boil the water and cook the balls for 6 minutes, until they float.
Mix the remaining coconut with salt.
Coat the drained balls in coconut and serve warm.
💡 Tip: If the dough cracks, wet your fingers with a little water; adding too much water can make the balls open while boiling.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve khanom tom in small paper cups with unsweetened jasmine tea.
