Slice the beef thinly and mix it with soy sauce, lime juice, sugar, 3 garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper.
Marinate the meat in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Finely chop the remaining garlic and fragrance half the oil with it for 2 minutes.
Add the cooked rice and fry for 6 minutes, until the grains separate.
Drain the marinated beef and cook it in a wide pan for 8 minutes, until caramelized.
Cook the eggs in the remaining oil to your preferred doneness.
Slice the cucumber and tomatoes, and put the vinegar in a small bowl.
Serve the rice, tapa, eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, and vinegar dip on the same plate.
💡 Tip: Ask the butcher for thin slices; thick slices take longer to cook and the sugar in the marinade starts to burn.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve tapsilog as an all-day plate with cucumber, tomato, and optional grape-vinegar dipping sauce.
