Knead the flour, salt, butter, and warm water into a smooth dough.
Rest the dough covered for 30 minutes.
Cut the cheese into finger-thick sticks.
Roll the dough thin and cut long strips.
Wrap the cheese sticks with overlapping dough strips and seal the ends.
Fry the tequenos in 170°C oil for 5 to 6 minutes.
Transfer to paper towels and serve hot with tomato sauce.
