Drain the tuna and flake it coarsely with a fork.
Make the filling with mayonnaise, pickled cucumber, lemon juice, and black pepper.
Spread a thin layer of butter on the outside of the bread slices.
Divide the tuna filling and cheddar over the inside faces and close the sandwiches.
Heat a pan over medium heat and place the sandwiches in it.
Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes, until browned and the cheese melts.
Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot.
