Wash the basil leaves and rub them lightly in your palm to release their aroma.
Mix the grape must, water, and lemon juice in a pitcher.
Check the sweetness; if the must is not sweet enough, add honey and stir until dissolved.
Add the basil leaves and rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the aromas infuse the liquid.
Before serving, put ice in the glasses, strain the drink over it, and add a fresh basil leaf.
💡 Tip: Do not cut basil with a knife; the leaves darken and turn bitter. Lightly rub or tear them by hand. Freshly pressed grape must gives the cleanest taste.
🍽️ Serving suggestion: Serve with plenty of ice on hot summer afternoons, with thin lemon slices in a glass pitcher if desired.
