Mix the oats, flour, and coconut in a large bowl, keeping the dry ratios unchanged.
Heat the butter, golden syrup, and baking soda water for 2 minutes.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and make a soft biscuit dough.
Bake the biscuits for 14 minutes in a 180°C oven and let them cool on the tray so the centers do not harden too much.
Leave the biscuits on the tray for 5 minutes so they firm up without falling apart.
Once completely cool, transfer to a wire rack and serve with tea.
