Mix mayonnaise, lime juice and garlic powder to make the sauce.
Slice two jalapenos into rings and finely chop one.
Divide the ground beef into 4 patties without kneading.
Heat a cast-iron pan above 230°C.
Season the patties with salt and black pepper and cook for 3 minutes per side.
In the final minute, put cheddar and chopped jalapeno on the patties.
Toast the buns and close the burgers with sauce, lettuce, patty and jalapeno rings.
