Slice the beef steak into thin strips and cut the onion into half-moons.
Finely chop the garlic and hot pepper.
Mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper in a bowl.
Heat the vegetable oil in a wide pan and quickly sear the beef for 4 minutes.
Add the onion, garlic, and hot pepper, then stir for 3 minutes.
Pour the sauce into the pan and cook for 2 minutes until glossy.
Add the Thai basil, turn off the heat after 1 minute, and serve the Thai basil beef with rice.
💡 Tip: If you cannot find Thai basil, use purple basil but reduce the amount; its aroma can be more dominant.
