Mix the warm milk, yeast, and some of the sugar.
Knead a soft dough with the flour, eggs, melted butter, remaining sugar, and salt.
Let the dough rise for 60 minutes.
Roll out the dough and cut round pieces.
Leave the pieces to rise for 25 minutes.
Heat the oil to 170°C.
Fry the paczek for 2 minutes on each side.
When cool, fill with jam and dust with powdered sugar.
💡 Tip: Piping the jam in after frying creates a pocket inside the dough without making the outside heavy.
